Bid city for major international sporting event.
In a closely-contested race, four world-class cities are vying to host a major international sporting event. As part of this the city bid teams visited New Zealand to spread the message about their individual strengths. Working with one of these cities, JML assisted with a media relations campaign to promote the city’s bid and showcase the unique features of the area. This presented an interesting challenge, as the other three cities were simultaneously aiming for the same coverage. more Brand Protection

Visiting sporting teams are up against a serious challenge when they play on New Zealand turf. Kiwis’ love of sport and pride in our home teams is a force to be reckoned with. Launching association with a global sport.
To launch the corporation’s sponsorship of the event and to garner attention for the sporting event, JML worked with the company and its partner sporting organisation to hold a media day. This allowed media to participate in the event and challenge each other, and the reigning champions of the sport, in a series of games, with an eventual overall winner declared. 200 VIP guests. Working to help a global brand carve out a new identity in New Zealand, JML was approached to hold a key influencer party for 200 as well as to execute a media relations campaign surrounding the party that would support the brand’s objectives. more Launch Event
